About PlateVista
PlateVista is a community gallery of vehicle photos from across the US. Every photo is filed under the state and plate on the vehicle, so you can look up a plate and see the car behind it.
Privacy principles
PlateVista is for appreciating vehicles, not for following people, so it never publishes any of these.
-
No precise locations
No GPS coordinates, addresses or maps. Every photo is re-encoded without its location and camera data before it is published.
-
No sighting histories
A photo shows the date it was published, nothing more: never when or where it was taken, and no timeline of where a vehicle has been.
-
No owners or identities
No owner names or contact details, and no way to look one up. Contributors will not be named next to their photos.
-
Only published photos
Search, Explore and photo pages show published records only. Pending and rejected ones answer “not found”, exactly like a record that never existed.

Demo data and credits
This is a demo. Every plate and vehicle record on PlateVista is fictitious. The photos are stock images used under the Pexels license; they do not show the plates they are filed under. Each photo page names its photographer.
